​​We often talk about our ‘Inner Compass’.  If we pay attention to it, we’ll know when we are heading ‘True North’.  A compass gives us direction, our ‘Inner Compass’ does the same—it is something inside telling us we’re heading the right way, our lives are on track. We need a strong sense of direction as to where we are going to live our best life.  As they say, ‘if you don’t know where you're going, any road will get you there’, so would it not make sense to head in the direction where you’re able to be most fully you and live your best life possible?
A compass needle is magnetized and freely suspended to allow that horizontal force to pull it toward magnetic north, so that you don’t lose your direction. Our inner compass does the same. Its magnetic pull is towards our True North, or our core purpose, our reason for being, our ideal life
Through the work that we do, we’ve come to understand that our ‘Inner Compass’ is a combination of things. It includes our values, but also knowing what we call our ‘Intrinsic Offerings.’  They are the elements that are at the core of who we are and can be referred to as our passions or true natures. They are those things that, when you are doing them, translate into a feeling of joy, flow, ease and happiness because you are living in alignment with your true nature, your deeper essence. It’s those times, when what we are thinking and doing are in alignment with who we really are and what is best for us, where we lose track of time. We feel we are in harmony with the world and are really doing what we are meant to do.  Like the North Star itself, we SHINE!
‘Intrinsic offerings’ are those unique gifts and skills that come naturally and are an essential part of who we are. We often don’t think of them, because they are just part of the fabric of our being and have been since birth. As we take time to discover and define them, we’ll see how they have been utilized throughout our lives.  They are part of our purpose and seem to have been built right into our DNA.
‘The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.’  We believe your intrinsic offerings are the gifts that quote refers to, and it’s our responsibility to take the time necessary to discover what they are and then to assess how we are using them. At the core of our belief is that ‘intrinsic offerings’ are just that, offerings that we are meant to be using regularly and giving away freely.  With that understanding, the next step is discovery. We call the process of discovery ‘Intrinsic Offerings Unveiled’ or IOU for short.  It’s the perfect acronym, because when you know what those offerings are, you have a responsibility to find ways to share them with the world around you, the are an IOU, so to speak.
Upon discovering them and paying attention to what they are, we begin to discover fulfillment, self-discovery, self-appreciation and a deep connection with our most inner longings. When we understand what they are and ensure we share them regularly and freely, we begin to feel energised, effective and that we are living our purpose.
Each time we access and apply our IOUs, subtle shifts happen and the Universe aligns in our favor, as we’ve paid off some of the debt owed for the wonderful life we have been given the opportunity to experience. Opportunities arise, doors open, the right people show up in our lives. This doesn’t always mean in a voluntary way though, the very fortunate among us find ways to utilize their IOUs in a paid capacity, and in doing so never really ‘work’ a day in their lives, because they are living their purpose and bliss.
Each person typically has five IOUs.  You could liken them to the tips of a star. Every time you offer an IOU the point lights up! Image when you find the role or opportunity to access and utilize all five IOUs at once!  Imagine the glow and the shine…imagine that feeling of knowing your True North and living it!  Are you ready to find out what your IOUs are?
